Collagen for nails
Marine collagen for strong nails without splitting.
collalloc kolagen is 100% bioactive marine collagen at 500 Da with 95% absorption. The nail bed and matrix are mainly Type I collagen. Our 3,300 mg daily dose targets exactly that: a stronger nail plate, less splitting, even growth.
Quick answer
Marine collagen helps nails because Type I makes up most of the collagen in the nail bed and matrix. collalloc kolagen has a 500 Da molecular weight and 95% absorption, so it reaches the nail-growing cells in active form. Recommended course is 60 to 90 days, first visible changes typically after 4 to 6 weeks.
Why marine collagen for nails specifically
A nail grows about 3 mm per month and its quality depends on the health of the nail matrix, which is mostly Type I collagen. Three reasons collalloc works faster than typical multivitamins.
Type I as the building block of the nail
The nail bed and matrix are mostly Type I collagen, which holds the nail firmly attached and ensures even growth. collalloc kolagen is 80% Type I, 19.5% Type II and 0.5% Type III.
500 Da means absorption
Most collagens on the market are 2,000 to 5,000 Da and the gut wall does not let them through. collalloc is hydrolysed using Swiss TRIPEPTIDE® technology under 500 Daltons, with clinically measured 95% absorption.
No fillers, no sweeteners
3,300 mg of pure collagen per sachet, no fillers, no sweeteners, no colourings. Unlike multivitamins with mega-dose biotin, we deliver the actual building material, not just a cofactor.
How to take collalloc for nails
The ritual is simple and takes a minute a day. The key is consistency, not big doses.
Open one sachet (pre-cut edge) and stir into 200 ml of cold or lukewarm water. Never in hot liquid, high temperatures damage the peptides.
Drink in the morning on an empty stomach, ideally 30 minutes before breakfast. For better collagen synthesis you can pair it with collalloc Vitamin C (100 mg), which acts as a cofactor.
Continuous use for at least 90 days. Nails grow slowly, so the full effect on the whole nail plate appears after 12 weeks, when an entirely new nail has grown out.

What to expect week by week
Results are individual, but the typical course observed across our customers looks like this.
Better hydration of the cuticle and surrounding skin, less dryness. Skin tends to respond before nails.
Less brittleness, stronger growth at the base. Polish lasts longer, fewer splits at the tips.
Visibly stronger nail plate, more even structure, fewer longitudinal ridges.
A fully new nail grown from base to tip, much less splitting. Full effect of the course.
FAQ: collagen for nails
The questions customers ask most often when dealing with weak or brittle nails.
How long until I see the effect of collagen on nails?
First visible changes with collalloc kolagen on nails typically appear after 4 to 6 weeks of daily use, mainly less splitting at the tips. The full effect arrives after 12 weeks when an entirely new nail has grown out. Nails grow more slowly than skin, so they respond later.
Does collagen help with very brittle, splitting nails?
Yes, Type I collagen is a structural component of the nail matrix, so supplementing it usually visibly reduces splitting and breakage. If nails are extremely weak even with adequate collagen intake, we recommend checking iron, thyroid and vitamin B12 levels. Collagen then has a stronger effect.
Is collagen better than biotin or a multivitamin?
Collagen and biotin work differently: biotin is a cofactor for keratin, collagen is the actual structural material of the nail matrix. For most people collagen has a faster, more visible effect because biotin is usually adequate from normal diet. The ideal is a combination: collagen as the building material + vitamin C as the synthesis cofactor.
Can I take collagen even with frequent gel polish or acrylic?
Yes. Collagen works from inside on the matrix, gel and acrylic work from outside. Supplementing collagen helps the nail recover between applications and is especially recommended if you find the plate weakened after polish removal. Always give nails regular polish-free breaks.
