She started the foundation after she was widowed herself at the age of thirty-one. She found that young widowed people often go unnoticed and that the state leaves big gaps in their support.

She decided to change that and build the system of help that had been missing. Today Vrba walks hundreds of families through a time no one prepares them for.

Why we do this

This partnership is not marketing to me. When I was eight, my father died. My mother was left with two boys to raise on her own, overnight and without a manual.

I know what that time looks like from the inside. And I know how much it helps when a family is not completely alone in it. That is exactly what Nadační fond Vrba does, and it is why part of every pack goes to them.
