Laboratory and quality
A label can claim anything. An analysis cannot.
You cannot see inside a supplement. So we have the raw material tested by external laboratories and publish the results right on the product pages, limits included, so you can see what each value is measured against.
Who tests
We do not grade our own homework. Microbiology, heavy metals and molecular weight are measured by laboratories independent of us; we publish what they measured. The values on this site come from the certificate of analysis of a specific raw-material batch, not from marketing copy.
What is measured, and how often
Heavy metals
Mercury, lead, cadmium and arsenic. The most common worry with marine collagen, which is why it has the densest cadence.
External laboratory, every month
Microbiology
Total aerobic count, salmonella, E. coli, coliforms, yeasts and moulds, pseudomonas, staphylococcus.
Every production batch
Purity and identity
Protein content, ash, moisture, peroxides, sulphur dioxide and the molecular weight of the peptides (around 500 Da).
Molecular weight externally once a year, the rest per batch
How to read the results
Every value is shown next to its limit. A number without a limit says nothing: 3 ppm of sulphur dioxide is only an excellent result because the standard allows 10.
Where the certificate states "under the limit", we write "under the limit". We do not invent a more precise figure than the document contains.
Zero on the total aerobic count means the culture found no colonies at all, while the limit would allow up to 1,000 CFU/g.
Thermal stability
In June 2026 an independent laboratory measured how the peptides behave when heated, using DSC and circular dichroism. The practical takeaway: a drink up to 60 °C does the structure no harm, while boiling can change the peptides chemically. So let coffee and tea cool down first.
