What is bioactive marine collagen and how is it different?

collalloc kolagen is 100% bioactive marine collagen with a molecular weight around 500 Daltons, hydrolysed using Swiss TRIPEPTIDE® technology, with a clinically measured 95% absorption. One daily dose contains 3,300 mg of pure collagen of types I, II and III, with no fillers, sweeteners, colourings or flavourings. Bioactive means the body works with it the way it works with its own collagen.

Where does the collagen come from?

collalloc is made from off-cuts of wild-caught North Atlantic fish, specifically the parts (skin, fins, heads) the food industry would otherwise discard. Hydrolysis is done in Switzerland; sachet filling on our own lines in Brno (Czech Republic). No fish are caught extra for the collagen, the process is ethical upcycling. More on our production page.

What is the difference between marine and bovine collagen?

Bovine, porcine and chicken collagen need heat treatment before processing, which drops absorption to around 10%. Marine collagen from fish does not require heat treatment, stays bioactive, and the body can take it up far more efficiently. Bovine collagen also carries an environmental cost, since most of it comes from Brazil.

How long until I see results?

First visible changes with collalloc kolagen typically appear after 4 to 6 weeks of daily use, mainly on skin, hair and nails. For the full effect we recommend a continuous course of 60 to 90 days. The musculoskeletal system responds individually and may take longer. Three boxes is a reasonable trial period.

Can I take collalloc during pregnancy or nursing?

collalloc is a 100% natural bioactive marine collagen with no additives, and many customers take it during pregnancy and nursing with positive feedback. During pregnancy we recommend consulting a doctor. During nursing the product is safe to take.

Is collalloc vegan?

collalloc is not vegan and cannot be, because its source is wild-caught marine fish. Vegan collagen does not exist as such; all collagen is animal-derived. There are plant-based supports for collagen synthesis (vitamin C, for example), but a true plant collagen is not possible.

Does collalloc contain any allergens?

collalloc is a 100% natural marine collagen without additives, sweeteners, colourings or flavourings. It does not contain sugar, gluten, lactose or GMO. It is, however, a fish product, so it is not suitable for people with a fish allergy.

Do I need to refrigerate collalloc?

No, collalloc does not need refrigeration, neither the sachets nor the liquid collalloc NANO 2.0. The ideal storage temperature is between 4 and 24 °C, in a dry place out of direct sunlight. The box is fine on a kitchen counter or in a cosmetics bag.

What is collalloc MIND and who is it for?

collalloc MIND is a food supplement with four functional mushrooms in capsules, made for people who want to look after their mind, energy and calm. It contains Lion’s Mane (memory, focus), Cordyceps (caffeine-free energy), Chaga (antioxidant) and Maitake (stress, hormonal balance), 600 mg of each per dose, 120 capsules for 30 days.

Can I take collalloc MIND with coffee?

Yes, collalloc MIND can be taken with coffee without any issue. It is caffeine-free and works neither against nor with coffee, it is not a stimulant. The mushrooms act cumulatively; the full effect arrives after 3 to 4 weeks of daily use.
